Affordable Cremation Services - West has been serving Elk City area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
For the previous 58 years, there’s been one family’s name that has been synonymous with funerals in Western Oklahoma. In 1961, A.L. Whinery purchased and operated the funeral home in Sayre, Oklahoma, and continued to grow to serve the people in Roger Mills County. Upon selling the business to his son, Brad, and his wife, Glenda, in the early 1980s, he continued to grow the business, expanding to Erick, Elk City, and Lawton, Oklahoma. As in life, changes occur, and life has a way of throwing everyone into different situations and things that are just out of the ordinary. So, for that reason, Affordable Cremation Service was formed in 1999 with the sole purpose of providing affordable funeral options to families in the state of Oklahoma. Throughout the years, Affordable Cremation Service has continued to see growth and relevance to the current funeral industry needs. Along with growth and validity, Affordable Cremation Service expanded to bring options and continued service to the people of Western Oklahoma with Affordable Cremation Service - West.
