Wanda Mae (White) Whitson was born April 10th, 1936 on the family farm near Strong City, Oklahoma. She passed away Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 at her home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 26 days.

Wanda grew up in the Strong City and Cheyenne area. She met and married Joe Harrelson and to this union thirteen children were born. She later met Orbie G. Whitson and to this union two children were born. Throughout her life she owned and operated restaurants where she could often be seen cooking. In the mid 90's she began working as a caregiver providing in home care to the elderly in the Roger Mills county area. Wanda formally retired in 2018 and enjoyed crocheting, her flowers and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Les, Dale and Butch; 2 sisters, Dorothy and Melva Jean; 1 daughter, Sue; six sons, Joseph, Jesse, James, Joe, Jerry and Mike.

Wanda is survived by 1 son, Orbie Dale Whitson, Cheyenne, OK; 7 daughters, Jo Frizzell, Burns Flat, OK, Gail Farris and husband, Zollie, Elk City, OK, Diane Bradley, Cheyenne, OK, Martha Haven, Reydon, OK, Mary Daugherty and husband, Chris, Luther, OK, Darla Harrelson, Norman, OK, and Cindy Bradshaw and husband, Kenny, St. John, KS; special friend, Vera Holley and a host of other relatives and friends.
