Terry Lee "TL" Floyd was born November 8, 1954 in Shamrock, TX to Dudley and Florine (Barnes) Floyd. He passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 16 days in Amarillo, TX.

TL graduated from Erick High School, Erick, OK, in 1973. TL was the proud father of five children. He was a law enforcement officer for many years until his retirement. He owned and operated TL Floyd Trucking and was a Heavy Equipment Operator for John Floyd Earth Moving until his second retirement in 2016. He was a farmer and rancher for 33 years. TL was a man of God and raised his children in the church. He displayed his love for Jesus by using his voice to sing for the Lord and helping lead others to Christ.

TL was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald and David, nephew B. J. Collins, niece Pattye Guy, sister-in-law Doris Floyd, and sister-in-law Susie Floyd.

TL is survived by his five children, Charlene Floyd; Terry Floyd, Jr., and his wife Lauren; Leann Floyd; Granville Floyd, and his wife Hannah; Karen (Floyd) Schoenhals, and her husband David; seven grandchildren, Peyton and Addison Tomas, Claire and Jackson Floyd, Nora, Vincent, and Eli Schoenhals; his brothers John Floyd, and his wife Ilene; Charlie Floyd, and his wife Alyce; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
