Thelma grew up near the Durham, Oklahoma community and attended Crawford school where she graduated in 1947. After graduation she was married and began her adult life as a housewife and had two children, Linda and Darrell that passed away at an early age. In 1951, she was later married to James Logan Scrivner, Jr. and to this union three children were born, Jackie, Wilma and Patty. Being the wife of an serviceman they moved to various bases including Ft. Polk and Amarillo Air Force Base. After the untimely death of Jim she returned to the Reydon community with her family and became acquainted with Guy Baker from Durham, Oklahoma. They were later married on November 1st, 1958 and together blended their families and welcomed the birth of Peggy to the family. They made their home south of Crawford, Oklahoma where they continued to reside. After Guy's death, Thelma formed a special relationship with the "Fishermen" and she looked forward to their annual fishing trips to the family lake. She was also a very independent woman that continued to live in her home until just recently. She enjoyed volunteering at the Cheyenne Senior Citizen Center, serving on the Cheyenne Senior Site Board, and was an avid sewer, quilter, embroidery, puzzle solver, dancer and solitaire gamer.
