Taressa Ruth Shearin Walker passed away in Sayre, Oklahoma on August 8, 2026; she was 62 years, 7 months, and 30 days old. Taressa was born December 9th, 1963 to Larry and Sharron Gilbert Shearin in Fairbanks, Alaska and was raised in Elk City, OK. She attended Elk City High School, graduating in 1982. After graduation she went on to attend cosmetology school.

Taressa married Carl Walker in Wheeler, TX and to this union came two sons, Monty and Matthew. She also helped to raise her niece, Terri Lee. Taressa enjoyed spending time gardening, bowling, shopping garage sales, visiting the casino, cookouts, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Monty Walker; father, Larry Shearin; grandmother, Ruth Fish Howard; and father of her children, Carl Walker.

Left to cherish her memory on earth is her son, Matthew Walker and wife Alison of Sayre, OK; mother Sharron Webb and husband Joe of Elk City, OK; brother, Terry Shearin and companion Connie Evans of Elk City, OK; niece Terri Shearin of Elk City, OK; 8 grandchildren; brothers Larry James Shearin of Wasilla, AK, Michael Shearin of Big Lake, AK, and Andrew Shearin of Big Lake, AK; sister Tammy Shearin of Las Vegas, NV; her beloved pets; and a host of relatives and friends.
