Summer Paige Florida, 29, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls prior to the service.  A Celebration of Summer's Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 in the Chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.

Summer was born March 14, 1996 and Wichita Falls has always been her home.  To know her was to love her. She rare soul, so kind, caring and compassionate; with a smile and kind words for everyone she met. She was very loyal and protective of those she loved, including her two cats which were more like her children. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved all children whether playing or working with them and they all loved her. Summer was currently in grad school working toward her goal to finish school to get her degree in the near future, and open her own psychology practice with her friend. Summer left this world too soon and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her brother and best friend, Dalton Trace Florida; her grandparents, Carolyn Sue High "Gram", Lucille Scott, Buster Hyer; and her Uncle Kelly Lee Hyer.

Summer is survived by her parents: her mother, Tonya Adams; her dad, Al Florida and wife, Megan; sister, Natalie Avalos; brothers, Kelly Florida, Dylan Florida, and Nick Avalos; grandparents, Fred High, Joy Hyer, Ronnie and Sue Williams, and Don and Francis Johnston. She leaves behind too many other family and friends to list.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Summer's name to Humane Society of Wichita Falls or your favorite charity. Her passion was mostly for cats.
