Sue Ann Flowers was born June 9th, 1936 in Boswell, Oklahoma to Pauline (Clifton) and Walter Orvil Flowers. She passed away Sunday, September 1st, 2024 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Sue Ann grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma and returned to Durham, Oklahoma where her father was the superintendent. She graduated from Durham High School in 1954 and shortly after began her family with the birth of her children. In the early 1960's she obtained her beautician license and with that opened up her own beauty salon in Mustang, Oklahoma. Sue Ann continued to own and operate her own shop until the mid 1970's. She later moved to Durham, Oklahoma where she found employment with Roger Mills County as a book keep for the county barn in Crawford, Oklahoma. Sue Ann continued with the county for over 8 years retiring in 1998. After her retirement she enjoyed quilting with the Durham Quilting Bee's, Square Dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Jeannie Allen.

Sue Ann is survived by her 3 children, Robbie Allen and husband, Kenneth, Elk City, OK, Pam Hamman and husband, Ronnie, Shawnee, OK, and Roy Alstatt, Oklahoma City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Josie Bennight and husband, Jeremy, Yukon, OK, Jessi Caswell and husband, Buck, Elk City, OK, Rhonda Sumpter and husband, Justin, Shawnee, OK, Heath Hamman, Shawnee, OK; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Loretta Lasley and a host of other relatives and friends.
