Obituary

Linda Sue Dixon, 74, of Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly, leaving her family stunned and holding tight to the stories, laughter, and attitude she brought into every room. Born March 6, 1952, in Erick, Oklahoma, to Billy and Dorothy Bashaw, Linda grew up in Berlin and lived all over the state — never staying anywhere long enough to get bored. Linda married her partner-in-crime, Keith Dixon, on March 8, 2000, and together they shared 33 years of adventures, road trips, and memories. If there was a back road, a flea market, or a new town to explore, Linda was already in the car. She was a woman who could do just about anything: hairdresser, CNA, and the proud owner of an antique store in Pampa, Texas. If it was old, unique, or had a story behind it, Linda could spot it from a mile away. Linda is survived by her husband, Keith Dixon; her three children — Shawn Reed, Carrie Reed (Brawley), and Heather Alaniz, married to Andy Alaniz — along with her three stepchildren: Ashley, Courtney, and Tiffiny. She was blessed with a big, loud, ever-growing family that includes 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her siblings. She was one of six children. Linda lived life with a spark. She loved antiques, gardening, cooking, crafts, fishing, hitting every garage sale she could find, and let's be honest — she absolutely LOVED going to the casino. If there was a slot machine or a yard sale sign anywhere nearby, she was already halfway to it. She was tough, funny, stubborn in the best way, and full of personality.
