Steve Hendrix was born on April 11, 1956 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to James Woodrow and Wanita Ethel (Adams) Hendrix. He passed away in his home on May 21, 2026 at the age of 70.

Steve grew up in Del City, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school. He remained in the Del City area before moving with his parents to Burns Flat in 1987 to make their home. Steve took care of his parents and owned a shop where he repaired alternators, generators and starters. Steve was a member of the Burns Flat Church of Christ where he was baptized into Christ on February 27, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; James Loy and Chad and niece Angel Hendrix.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Hendrix, Niece, Leeann Hendrix, Nephews, Jacob Hendrix and James Loy Hendrix II and his wife, Maria, and his sister-in-law, Holly Clanahan.
