Shirley Jean Nabors (Baker-Leppert) age 85, passed peacefully on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at her residence in Homestead Assisted Living in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Born on April 24, 1940 in Binger, Oklahoma, Shirley was one of eleven children born to Jim and Loula Nabors. Growing up in a large and loving family instilled in her a strong sense of connection and care that carried through her entire life.

Shirley married her first husband, Bill Baker, with whom she shared two sons, Billy and Darryl.

A devoted homemaker, Shirley took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Back in the day, if you needed her, you'd likely find her outside mowing her yard or tending to her flower beds - something she was proud of and enjoyed doing herself.

After the passing of her first husband, Shirley found love again with her husband, Ron Leppert. She has four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. All of whom will remember her for her kindness, her gentle heart, and the beauty she brought into the world.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Loula Nabors; her son Billy Baker: and her husband Bill Baker. She is survived by her son Darryl Baker; her husband Ron Leppert; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley's life was one of quiet strength, love and grace - a legacy that will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew her.
