Sanford Eugene Hicks of Elk City, OK, was born on November 6, 1968 in Dallas, Texas. He went to be with his angels up above on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at the age of 56 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

Sanford married the love of his life Donna Louise Barber, on June 21, 2008, in Elk City, OK. He went to work in the oil field and worked for almost 30 years. It is there where he got the name ''Redneck''.

Sanford liked to travel to see different parts of the United States. He enjoyed to just ride up and down the country roads. He did not have to have a specific place to go, if it looked interesting he would stop.

He also enjoyed working in his wood shop. Sanford's favorite hobbies were making YouTube videos and making resin projects.

Sanford always had a smile on his face and loved making people laugh. He had a wonderful personality. He was kind, loving, caring and quite a charmer.

He is preceded in death by his precious granddaughter, Ally Mae Frances Barber.

Sanford is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Donna Hicks; his children, Michael R. Barber, Alyssa F. Elgin, and husband, Thomas; his grandchildren Autumn B. Barber, Rory Z. Barber and Kalum K. Barber; and a host of many of his friends and other relatives.
