Ronald Dee Nabors was born April 13th, 1950 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Cora Lucile (Holland) and Leo Rex Nabors. He passed away in Elk City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 7 days.

Ronald, known by most as Ron, grew up in the Crawford community where he attended school until the school closed. He transferred to Cheyenne and graduated as part of the graduating class of 1968. After graduation he began driving a truck cross country and at various times in his life has been to every state in the United States. In the late 80's he began working for Beutler Brothers cowboying and assisting them in their cattle and rodeo operation. Ron's passion was driving a truck on the open road and his handle, which he enjoyed, was "Rebel". He also enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Jeannie Schmitz.

Ron is survived by his wife, Cindy, of the home; 2 children, Donna Jay, Dallas, TX and Kayla Thomas Elk City, OK; 2 grandchildren, Nick Jay and wife, Nicole, Sunset, TX and Zailey Thomas, Elk City, OK; 2 great grandchildren, Shelby and Cooper Jay; 1 sister, Janice Blanken; 1 brother, Gary Nabors and wife, Linda and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
