Ronnel Dean Bradley was born August 20th, 1946 in the back of the Arnett, Oklahoma Feed Store to Oleta Mae (Riggs) and Wallace Perry Bradley. He passed away in his home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on Thursday, January 19th, 2023 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 30 days.
Ronnel, known to most at "Ron", grew up moving extensively throughout Oklahoma attending more than 20 schools. During his senior year he attended 3 high schools before graduating from Laverne High School in 1966. After graduation he furthered his education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. While attending college, in the summers, Ron worked to pay for his higher education by working on bridge construction crews. He was trained to design the blueprints for bridges and was attending college to received his degree in draft and psychology. During his senior year in college, with 12 credit hours left, he and a professor had a disagreement and he returned to Arnett, Oklahoma and continued working on bridge construction crews. Ron met a woman by the name of Diane Harrelson at the drive-in and they were later married in Wheeler, Texas. After their they moved to Eagle Nest, New Mexico before returning to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in the early 80's. They made their home in Cheyenne where they raised their daughter. Ron found employment driving a rock truck for his brother and later pursued his career in Art and Trap Shooting with his brother, Ed. Ron turned his passion into his full time occupation by becoming a western painting artist attending art shows along side his brother, Leon. He continued his painting until 2012 when his eyesight began failing. Ron also enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, watching old cowboy movies and Jeopardy. But his passion in life was spending time with his family and especially his granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Joe, Ed, Leon, Ben, and Tiny Bradley; and 1 sister, Margaret Fadenrecht.
Ron is survived by his wife, Diane, of the home; 1 daughter, Renita Bradley, Cheyenne, OK; 1 granddaughter, Harli Bradley, Cheyenne, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
