Obituary

Robert Darrel "Bullet" McLemore Sr. was born on September 29, 1950 to Robert Henry and Wanda Lou (Womack) McLemore in Elk City, OK. Bullet passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

Bullet grew up and attended school in Elk City. In 1970, he was drafted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from the army in 1971. Bullet worked at the Elk City Cotton Gin after he returned from the army. In October of 1973, Bullett started his life with Barbara "Bobbet" Platt. Together they raised three children Crystal, Cory, and Robert "BB" Jr. He worked for Harold Wehrenberg in the concrete business briefly before starting his own business, Bullets Hotshot, in the oilfield industry. Bullet operated his business for over 20 years and retired in 2017.

Bullet liked to go four wheeling in Arkansas with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an accomplished grill master, as well as a country clubbing extraordinaire. Bullet loved to just cruise the back roads of the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wanda McLemore, two brothers Terry "Terrible" McLemore and James "Mouse" McLemore, nephew Shawn McLemore, and niece Malissa "Missy" Thorn.

Bullet is survived by his wife of 52 years Bobbet McLemore, one daughter Crystal McLemore Garren and husband John of Elk City, OK; two sons Cory Reininger of Oklahoma City and Robert "BB" McLemore Jr. of Elk City; six grandchildren Zach Cagle and Amanda, Slayde McLemore, Kason McLemore, Cynthia Kasper and husband Jordan, Shelbi Burnett, and Wyatt Schrick and Lynzee; seven great grandchildren Grace Poff, Ashton Kasper, Braylea Cagle, Kinzley Cagle, Skylar Davis, Jaxson Davis and Colton Davis; uncle John McLemore of Elk City; aunts Janet Martin and husband David of Woodward, OK, Linda Klinges Hardin of Elk City and Johna McLemore of Moore, OK; sister-in-law LaDonna Thomas and husband Charlie of Elk City; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
