Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dean Weeks was born on April 9, 1942 to Roy Prescott and Esther Serena (Clements) Weeks in Wapota, WA. He passed on December 25, 2025 surrounded by his family at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

Bob grew up in Wapota as the youngest of his five siblings, Ernest, Evelyn, Elwin, Everet, and Richard. He attended and graduated Wapota High School and then went on to Yakima Valley College. Bob began his career at Pacific Power and Light as an office manager. He worked there for 35 years. Bob met and married Sherri McLain and to this union three children were born Kris, Karmen, and Kevin. After retiring from the power company, he went on to F&I manager at Don Johnson Trailer Sales for five years. On October 6, 1984, Bob married Kay Hale in Reno, Nevada at the Reno Wedding Chapel. This union combined Bob's children Kris, Karmen, and Kevin and Kay's children, Daniel and David into one family. In 2008, Kay and Bob moved to Elk City, OK from Walla Walla, WA to enjoy retirement.

In his spare time, Bob enjoyed raising horses and team roping. He was very handy and loved to build. He built a barn, patios, and decks. He loved taking care of animals on the farm which included, cattle, goats, and horses. He also enjoyed gardening and the eating of the produce he grew. Bob loved watching his children compete in Junior and High School Rodeos and later on his grandchildren playing basketball and also competing in rodeos. He also liked to watch the children and grandchildren play baseball and track. Bob was a Christian and was a member of the First Christian Church in Elk City and he later attended the Church of Christ in Hammon, OK.

He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Esther Weeks, brothers Ernest and Elwin Weeks, and sister Evelyn Weeks.

Bob is survived by his wife Kay Weeks of Elk City, OK; children Kris Dillon and husband Ken of Dell City, OK, Karmen Carlson of Boardman, OR, Kevin Weeks and wife Shanda of Hammon, OK, Daniel Hale and wife Mirtha of Glendora, CA, and David Hale and wife Casey of Benton City, WA; grandchildren Becky, Jason, Andy, Tyler, Clayton, Kaylee, Wyatt, Ella, Jayce, Brennan, Nolan, and Denise; fifteen great grandchildren and one on the way; brothers Everet Weeks and Richard Weeks and his wife Mary; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
