Robert "Bob" Dale Beloat, Sr. was born June 2nd, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Juanita (Ousley) and William "Wid" Beloat. He passed away in Elk City, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at the age of 89 years and 1 day.
Bob grew up in Mounds, Oklahoma where he attended school graduating in 1952. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army were he was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict serving as the reservist. Bob continued his 2 year term of service until obtaining an honorable discharge. After his discharge, he was married to Mary Alice (Herzer) on October 25th, 1956. Together they moved to Farmington, New Mexico where their family continued to grow. Bob's employment took the family from New Mexico to Arizona, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma where they settled in Burns Flat. Throughout Bob's life he worked as a gas plant manager, owned and operated two chicken farms, and owned and operated the Cordell Package Store. Bob's priority in life was providing for his family and making sure they were well cared for. He also enjoyed camping, reading, watching old westerns and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Beloat; his parents; grandson, Joseph Beloat; 1 brother and 1 sister.
Bob is survived by 4 children, Cheryl Hare and husband, Bruce, Bloomfield, NM, Rob Beloat and wife, Sheila, Mounds, OK, Kay Bass, Burns Flat, OK, and Ray Beloat and wife, Alanna, Arapaho, OK; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Glenna Herzer; 5 nieces; 3 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
