Rita Mae (Winnard) Dennis was born January 27th, 1940, at Blanchard, OK to Mozelle (Kirkham) and Harlan Arthur Winnard. She went peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, August 15th, 2022, at Hydro, OK at the age of 82. Rita was baptized at an early age. She was a middle child of seven kids and grew up on a farm in Blanchard, OK. She graduated from Blanchard High School. On November 20th, 1957, she wed Donnie Ray Dennis in Oklahoma City, OK. The couple lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Hinton to raise an expanding family in 1964. They were blessed with three children. Rita worked for a short time as a comptometrist in OKC and held other various jobs including being the Postmaster at Bridgpeport Post Office before it was closed. She was a wonderful wife, momma and grandmother. She loved to sing and serve the Lord. She was very active in church and her surrounding communities. Rita was a talented painter, gardener, crafter and loved to travel with her friends and family. In their younger years, the couple belong to a square dance club in El Reno, OK. They enjoyed dancing and traveling with their friends. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Harlan Arthur and Mozelle (Kirkham) Winnard, her son Gary Don Dennis, daughter in-law Sharon (Farr) Dennis, grandson Joel Bradley Dennis, her sister Betty Culpepper, her brothers Robert Winnard and Dale Winnard. She survived by husband Donnie Dennis, her daughters, Sherri Gaylord and husband Ken, Karen Bowman and husband Trent, her grandsons Nicholas Gaylord, Stephen Dennis and wife Laken, Cody Bowman, her granddaughters Tisha (Dennis) Bender and husband Jonas, Crystal Gaylord, Kaylee Bowman, Katelyn (Dennis) Hutson, her great-granddaughter Emori Hutson, her sisters Lou Ellen McGaha, Cheryl Montoney, Linda Milburn and husband Ken, any many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A memorial service to celebrate Rita's life will be Saturday, September 24th at 2:00pm, located at Faith Church, 1006 N. Broadway St, Hinton, OK 73047
