Richard "Ricky" Daryl Davis was born on November 3, 1948 to Chester Ervin and Helen Belle (Farris) Davis in Erick, OK. He passed on October 2, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 29 days.

Ricky grew up in Erick and attended public school there. In 1968, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He faithfully served his country in the Vietnam war earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one silver and one bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.

In 1971, Ricky married Mona Diann Harkins and to this union two children were born David and Rebecca. They made their home in Erick, OK. He worked in the oilfield industry most of his life working various jobs such as roughneck, truck driver, and driller. After he retired from the oilfield in 2011, Ricky worked as a handyman for the low income housing in Erick.

In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, shoot guns, and arrowhead hunting. Ricky made his own bullets for his firearms. He also worked on old vehicles and loved to spend time with dog, Rascal. He also liked to travel to Alaska for gold mining. Ricky was also known for visiting and arguing with his brothers for hours about the Bible.

He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Helen Davis, six brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of the home Mona Davis; children David Davis and wife Rena of Erick, OK; Michael Morse of Erick, OK, Rebecca Morse of Erick, OK; Tammi Moore and husband Bruce of Moore, OK; grandchildren Sarah, Kyle, Nikki, Ella, Dru, Christopher, Amanda, Conrad, Benjamin, Ryan, Zalen, Myla, and Ashton; great grandchildren Tatum, Landri, Creed, Ansley, and Kaylee; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
