Peggy Lee Myrick was born on June 19, 1936 to Henry Louis and Mildred (Oliver) Taby in Shidler, OK. She passed on November 15, 2025 at the age of 89 years, 4months, 27 days.

Peggy attended Deer Creek High School and graduated with the class of 1954. She made her home in Edmond, OK. In 1956, she married Boyd D. Myrick in Oklahoma City and to this union two sons were born Aaron and Faron. Peggy attended business school and earned a certificate in business. She worked at Deer Creek Schools as a secretary and bookkeeper for 20 years. After Deer Creek she began working for University of Central Oklahoma where she oversaw foreign housing for the students. In 1985 Peggy retired and moved to Bridgeview Resort at Lake Texoma. In 2021, she moved to Reydon, OK where she resided until her passing.

In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. Peggy also enjoyed cooking and was known for her food. She was a basketball fan and watched all the college basketball games she could.

She is preceded in death by her husband Boyd Myrick, parents Henry and Mildred Taby, two sisters Betty Zieglegruber and Joann Kitchen, and mother-in-law Annabelle Ball.

Peggy is survived by her two sons Aaron Myrick of Dallas, TX and Faron Myrick of Reydon, OK; one grandchild Annabelle Myrick-Mackey of Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
