Obituary

Peggy Ann Goodall was born on May 27, 1939 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Opal Edith (Coy) and Loyd A. Cain. She passed away Thursday, November 10th, 2022 in Anadarko, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Peggy grew up in the Retrop, Oklahoma area. She attended school at Highway schools and was a member of the last graduating class in 1957. After her graduation she found employment at Montgomery Ward department store. Peggy continued working and met Rudy Goodall on a blind date set up by friends. Six months later they were married in Elk City, Oklahoma on September 16th, 1962. After their marriage they briefly moved to Hammon, Oklahoma before moving to Butler, Oklahoma before making their home back in Hammon. During this time, Peggy was employed by White's Auto for over 15 years. Not being one that could remain still, Peggy began part-time work at the Hammon First Baptist Church where she could be seen in many different capacities. Throughout the years, Peggy loved to watch the NFL and the family knew not to disturb her during Dallas Cowboy football games. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, quilts, throws, watching high school state basketball games, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Carolyn Smith; one great granddaughter, Mykenzie Fayth Goodall.

Peggy is survived by her 4 children, Rick Goodall, Hydro, OK, Tony Goodall and wife, Tammi, Butler, OK, Tonya Nix and husband, Gary, Elk City, and Gary Goodall and wife, Shelly, Hammon, OK; 7 grandchildren, Heath Goodall and wife, Danielle, Houston, TX, Angie Ohm, Dallas, TX, Todd Goodall and wife, Mindy, Leedey, OK, Taryn Collier and husband, Ethan, Elk City, OK, Landon Hise and wife, Dana, Weatherford, OK, Rudi Burge and husband, Bradey, Elk City, OK, Gunner Goodall, Hammon, OK; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Cain, Carter, OK; sister, Gayla Midyett, Elk City, OK; great aunt, Jean Cain, Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 14th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Hammon First Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Scott Showers. Burial will be held at Butler Cemetery under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com

In lieu of flowers, Peggy requested donations be made to Gideon Bibles or the First Baptist Church Youth in Hammon, Oklahoma.
