Paul Duane Reed was born on March 6, 1944 to Haskell Paul and Willie Irene (Kerr) Reed in Erick, OK. He passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 10 days. Paul grew in the Mayfield area at the North Fork Red River and attended Texola, Sweetwater, and Delhi schools. He graduated from Delhi schools in 1962. In 1963, Paul was drafted into the United States Army. He faithfully served his country until he was honorably discharged.

After being discharged from the army, Paul graduated from trade school and became a licensed electrician in Oklahoma City. When his brother ,Billy, was killed in Vietnam, he moved to Erick to be with the family. He married Connie Yearwood in 1969 and to this union two children were born Thomas William and Daniel Paul. He worked as an electrician in the Erick area for a few years and later became employed at the Triple D Land and Cattle Company. He worked as a cattleman and trained race horses. After Connie passed away, Paul later married Lesa Banks Tignor and he helped Lesa raise her son Ben. After working 7 days a week for the Triple D Land Cattle Company for over 20 years, Paul was finally able to retire and enjoy 16 years of leather work, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Connie Reed, parents Haskell and Irene Reed, and brother Billy Reed.

Paul is survived by his wife Lesa Reed of Erick, OK; Thomas Reed and wife Jerica of Ada, OK, Danny Reed of Moore, OK, and Ben Tignor and wife Brittany of Erick, OK; 8 grandchildren Dylan, Cody, Adam, Jillian, Lucas, Paisley, Lily, and Jordyn; two sisters Wilma Fox and husband Wayne of Holly Lake Ranch, TX and Doris Ray and husband Roy of Corn, OK; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
