Obituary

Howard "Paul" Brasuell was born on September 12, 1962 to Henry R and Barbara A (Thomas) Brasuell in Wichita Falls, TX. He passed on July 18, 2026 in Dill City, OK at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 6 days, surrounded by the love of family. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering love that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Paul spent most of his childhood in Carter and Waurika, OK. He attended Waurika schools until tenth grade. He attended vocational school in Okmulgee, OK where he obtained his ASE certification. He worked as mechanic for over 30 years and continued his education in ASE training over those years. Paul worked for Doug Gray Dodge in Elk City and John Thomas in Cordell. He retired after 25 years. During his career and after, he also worked out of his own shop in Dill City, serving many loyal customers and lifelong friends.

Paul was a devoted father, son, family member, and friend. He possessed a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a steadfast loyalty that made him someone others could always depend on. Whether through a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply his presence, Paul had a way of making people feel supported and valued.

In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and putting together model cars. He loved spending time with his family and friends and could be found drinking a cold one "had to be Coors Light" with them. Paul loved listening to old country eight track tapes. Paul's true passion though was working on cars which he did until his passing.

Paul will be remembered for the relationships he built, the kindness he showed, and the memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His sense of humor, friendship, and presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Barbara Brasuell, brothers Troy, Nelson, and Larry Brasuell, and grandson Jordan Jones.

He is survived by his children Charlotte Ritchie of Dill City, Dana Brasuell of Carter, OK, Jason Brasuell of Kansas City, Miranda Brasuell of Burns Flat, OK; step sons, Corey Merkley and Nicholas Merkley; grandchildren Monica, Madison, Jayden, Alexander, Dominic, Brandy, Jaxon, Dakota, and Jayla; great grandchildren Jasper, Joseph, and Oakland; brothers Ray and Mike Brasuell; sister Mary Brasuell; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host friends.
