"Pat" Walker
Jan 27, 1944 — Mar 30, 2023
Patsy Cordelia Walker was born January 27th, 1944 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Rosa May (Sargeant) and Joseph Lee Emmons. She passed away Thursday, March 30th, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Patsy, known by most as "Pat", grew up in the Rush Springs community where she attended school graduating in 1962. After their marriage they remained in Rush Springs until Pat graduated and then moved to Elk City in the fall of 1962. As a young married woman she found employment at Montgomery Wards, COOP, Western Lumber, and John Deere before beginning her career in the oil and natural gas industry. Pat began with El Paso Natural Gas and saw the company go through 3 sales and many changes over her 18 year career before her first retirement. Not being one that could sit still, she began working at the First Baptist Church where she was the secretary for Russell Duck. She continued for over 13 years until her second retirement. After Pat retired from working a second time, she enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions but her passion in life was spending time with her family and "mothering the herd" and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and a daughter in law, Polly Walker.
Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jimmy, of the home; 2 children, Tamra Henderson and husband, David, Elk City, OK and Randy Walker, also of Elk City, OK; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Carol Anne Graham and a host of other relatives and friends.
