Pamela Ann "Pam" Burks, age 73, of Reydon, Oklahoma, passed away on September 7, 2025 in Oklahoma City. She was born on October 13, 1951, in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Willis "Pete" Burks and Patsy Burks, who both preceded her in death. Pam was a lifelong resident of Reydon and a proud 1971 graduate of Reydon High School. She embraced farm life with joy and dedication, especially caring for the family's cattle. Each cow had a name of it's own chosen after friends or family—and Pam had an incredible memory for their birthdays. Her love of animals extended beyond the farm; she was rarely without the company of dogs, cats, or even ducks. She carried a great love for all things Country. Western movies and TV shows were her favorites, with John Wayne holding a special place in her heart. She enjoyed country music, especially the songs of

George Strait. In later years, Pam discovered a passion for painting, happily putting a brush to any surface she could find—to share her imagination with those around her.

Pam will be remembered for her love of animals, her big laugh, and her deep devotion to family and friends. She is survived by her beloved aunt, Rose "Sis" Mixon of Richmond, Texas, along with many cousins who held her dear. Pam's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to special friends John & Kay Powers and Johnny

& Merlene Shaw for their unwavering support throughout the years. They are especially thankful for the devoted caregivers who made it possible for Pam to remain in her home after her mother's passing—an enduring gift of comfort and dignity. For this, they extend heart felt appreciation to Sam Wright and Teresa Cox, as well as many others who lovingly cared for Pam, including Lisa Roberts, Kendra Beavin, Taylor Gibson, Reta Ahrens and Chasity Paggett. As John Wayne once reminded us, "Hurry it up. We're burnin' daylight!" With that same spirit, Pam's family encourages everyone to carry forward her love of laughter, animals, music, and simple joys, keeping her memory alive in the everyday moments that matter most.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 13, at White Rose Cemetery followed by a reception at the American Legion Building in Reydon.
