Pam Reed

Pamela Kay Reed was born May 20th, 1949 in Virgie, Kentucky to Faye Elizabeth (Ray) and Fred Thacker. She passed away in Erick, Oklahoma on Monday, October 12th, 2026 at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 22 days.

Pam spent her childhood in Southern California. She attended Alta Loma High School graduating in 1967. Pam furthered her education beginning at a college in Southern California until transferring to Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, Texas. She completed her bachelors degree in education at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After receiving her college degree, she was married to Kenneth Charles Reed on June 30th, 1973 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Kenneth, being in the United States Air Force, together they began married life in Portugal where he was stationed. They later moved to Florida where they welcomed their daughter into the family in 1975. After Kenneth's discharge they moved to the family farm in Western Oklahoma. They later welcomed their son into the family in 1981. Using her education, Pam taught at Sweetwater Public Schools for 9 years before teaching in Kelton, Texas where she completed her 35 year career. In 2010 Pam retired and spent her retirement years helping Kenneth on the farm raising registered angus cattle. She enjoyed knitting, checking cattle, and spending time with her family and friends, but her favorite pass time was her 9 grandchildren and spending time with them through homework and being the best "Gran" she could possibly be.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Nathan Reed; and 2 sisters.

Pam is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of the home; daughter, Jessica Millar and husband, Jace, Sayre, OK; 9 grandchildren, Rachel Carter, Hannah Moderegger, Abigail Goff, Reed Millar, Maverick Millar, Liberty Millar, Mason Reed, Myles Reed, and Micah Reed; 4 great grandchildren, Zane Carter, Layla Carter, Amelia Goff, Wallen Carter and Elliot Goff; 2 sisters, Linda Smith, Dallas, TX and Frieda Hoover, Sacramento, CA as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Erick Church of Christ, P.O. Box 26, Erick, OK 73645, in Pamela's name.
