Murllene Kramer was born December 23rd, 1937 in Berlin, Oklahoma to Rosella (Valentine) and John Robert Moorhead. She passed away Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 in Chillicothe, Illinois at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 8 days.

Murllene grew up in Berlin, Oklahoma and moved with her family to Elk City, Oklahoma when her father obtained employment with Fairlawn Cemetery in 1946. She graduated from Elk City High School before attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she received her B.S. degree in speech and a minor in business in 1960. She was married to Delbert L. Kramer in Elk City, Oklahoma on June 18, 1960. Murllene later attended Bradley University where she received her elementary education certification.

Together, Murllene and Delbert followed Delbert's military career to Goose Bay, Labrador, and New Finland, Canada where she was a secretary for the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. She later worked at Midstate College where she was a typing instructor and also at German Town Hills Elementary for 3 years. She also served as a substitute teacher at Metamora Grade School. Murllene enjoyed quilting, consulting with her clients through Mary Kay cosmetics, being a member of the Woodford County Historical Society, and spending time with her family and especially her four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert; and one sister, Wanda Hall.

Murllene is survived by her two children, Kurt Kramer and wife, Kate, Elk City, OK and Kayllene Clymer, Peoria, IL; four grandchildren, Haley, Rhiannon, Oliver, and Keaton and a host of other relatives and friends.
