Misty Dawn Martin was born October 3rd, 1972 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Barbara Allen (McDaniels) Shelton and Billy Dean Shelton. She passed away on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her 5 daughters at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 16 days.

Misty grew up in the Sayre, Oklahoma community where she attended school graduating in 1991. After graduation she began her family where she cared for her daughters. Misty traveled many places and always found herself being drawn back to western Oklahoma. Family was always important to Misty and the times she cherished the most were those with her girls and her grandchildren and was a faithful follower of Trinity Fellowship watching online any chance she could.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Shelton; and grandmother, Mary Carlisle.

Misty is survived by her 5 daughters, Megan and husband, Mark Huette, Farmington, MO, Mara Garrett and companion, Tyler Parker, Bloomsdale, MO; Mika McSperitt and fiance', Jarrod Murray, Elk City, OK, Morgan Taliaferro and Jevon,

Elk City, OK, and Mindy Martin, Elk City, OK; 11 grandchildren, Beau, Raylynn, Klayton, Khloe,

Rhipp, Langston, LaceLynn, London, Wyatt, Kesson, and Gabby; her father, Billy Shelton, Sayre, OK; 1 brother, Allen Shelton, Sayre, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family request that any flowers or gifts of condolences be sent to Morgan Taliaferro's residence.
