Millard
Pettitt
Oct 7, 1982 — Feb 7, 2023
Millard William Pettitt, II was born October 7th, 1982 to Sheila Grace (Jantz) and Millard William Pettitt. He passed away on his farm near Canute, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 at the age of 40 years and 4 months.
Milliard grew up in Elk City and attended kindergarten through his senior year at Merritt schools. He was very active in sporting activities in basketball, football, baseball, and track before graduating from Merritt High School in 2001. After graduation he worked with his family in the family septic system business and could be seen many times parking a trailer with a semi to perfection. Millard always loved animals and took great joy in raising and feeding them which was evident with his farming operation and his cattle. His best friend was his sister, Shauna Moran and never missed the chance to play cards and Dominoes when the mood hit. Milliard liked fixing things, fishing and watching a good movie. He was the type of man that didn't trust openly. Millard felt that a person had to prove they were trustworthy in his eyes. He was married to Kristy Pettitt in Wheeler County on March 29, 2016 and made their home in Elk City. Millard enjoyed playing with all the kids and grandkids. He would wrestle with each of them till it wore him out. He always made them laugh and giggle with every toss into the air. One of his favorite pass times was going on evangelism trip and spent a lot of time in South America, Paraguay, Uruguay where his talent of quoting Bible scripture and telling Bible stories came in handy. Through all of this, Millard was a quiet man, with few words, but for the ones who knew him best he would carry on an in-depth conversation for quite some time.
He is preceded in death by his father, Millard Pettitt; sister, Shauna Moran; brother, Adam Pettitt; and one aunt, Dorlene Pryor.
He is survived by his wife, Kristy, of the home; bonus sons, Cody Finley, Elk City, OK, Levi Finley, Weatherford, OK and Nathan Finley, Elk City, OK; 5 grandchildren, Weston, Clary, Lyric, Tommy, and Betty Finley; his mother, Sheila Pettitt; 1 nephew, Coalton Paxton; 3 nieces, Cameron Moran, Jovilynn, and Adi Pettitt and a host of other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
