Mildred Rebecca
Carter
May 19, 1944 — Oct 28, 2024
Mildred R. Carter, grew up on the family farm and graduated from Stafford High School. She was a hard worker, performing farm work, working in a factory and then a homemaker. Mildred loved activities and gatherings with family and friends, making sure everyone had a good time.
She enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing. Nothing slowed her down through the years, at one point we told her that we were going to have to wrap her in bubble wrap to protect her. She also enjoyed playing board games or cards, whatever brought people together.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Norma (Mike) Miller of Cordell, Sons Dennis (Gail) Carter of Cordell, and Donald (Cassandra) Carter of Dothan, AL, grandchildren Michael (Kendra) Miller, Jeniffer (Chris) Brune, and Rachel Carter, great grandchildren Madison Miller, Alex Miller, Layla Brune, and Carter Brune. Mildred also leaves behind her sisters Faye, Myrtle, Patsy, and Shirley, brothers James and Victor.
Mildred was proceeded in death by her parents Hughie "Slim" Allison and May Lindsay Allison, brother William, sisters Vera, Louise, and infant daughter Michelle.
Mildred lived a life of making the best out of any situation, focused on life itself rather than material things. She was always thoughtful to send a card to say she loved you or was one to make you laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her.
