Michael Greg "Mike" Jones was born April 6, 1966 to Jerry and Sherry (Briggs) Jones in Elk City, OK. He passed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 59 years, 1 month, and 25 days.

Mike grew up in Thomas and attended Thomas Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1984. He was active in FFA, and as a senior he earned the State Farmer Degree. After high school Mike attended Western Technology Center in Burns Flat, OK where he earned his certificates in welding and carpentry. He went on to work for the city of Weatherford and the correctional facility before moving to the Roll community and working on the family farm. Mike was also a member of the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department.

In Mike's spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog, Shephard. He was also involved in the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church and served the church faithfully. Mike also loved to spend time with his family. Mike was a very caring person and took care of his great uncle Loel Briggs. They always made to sure to stop by Braums on their way back from doctor appointments. He was an OSU fan. Mike listened to country music and one of his favorite artist was the Oakridge Boys.

Mike is preceded in death by his son Hugh Michael Jones, grandparents Hoover and Leola Jones and Robert and Beth Briggs, first cousin Brian Merritt , uncle Cliff Uranga, and many other relatives.

He is survived by his parents Jerry and Sherry of Piedmont, OK; brother Chris Jones and wife Kendi of Piedmont, OK; nephew Rhett Jones and niece Jordan Jones both of Piedmont, OK; uncle Larry Briggs and wife Michelle of Oklahoma City, OK; aunt Gail Uranga of Kennedale, TX; first cousins Derek Briggs, Dane Briggs, and Deanne Hammons; many other extended family and a host of friends.
