John Michael "JM" Simon was born on August 26, 1959 to Eugene John and Lois Marie (Dippel) Simon in Borger, TX. He passed on September 21, 2026 in Elk City, OK at the age of 67 years and 26 days.

JM grew up in Pampa, TX and later on in Memphis, TN and attended German Town High School in Tennessee. After school, he moved back to Pampa and went to work for Pampa Office Supply. He also went on to work several different jobs in the area. JM moved to Amarillo began working for DHL and Airborne Express as a delivery driver. In 2015, he moved back to Pampa to help care for his mother. After his mother passed, JM moved to Elk City to help care for his dad.JM life centered on his devotion to God. He was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. If he wasn't at church, he could be found cruising in the country in his truck. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles. 

JM is survived by his sisters Cynthia Ann Clark and husband David of Amarillo, TX and Cheryl Lynn Courtney and husband Chad of Grand Prairie, TX; brother Matthew Wade Simon of Amarillo, TX; nieces and nephews Donald Clark and wife Sarah, Lindsey Driver and husband Cory, Casey Tague and husband Aaron, Matthew Blake, Chelsea LaNae and husband Dustin, Shelby Courtney; uncle Robert Simon and wife Elaine of Elk City, OK; aunts Ann Hale and husband Ed of Norman, OK and Theresa Simon of Norman, OK; numerous cousins and other extended family and a host of friends all of the Elk City area.
