Mary Louisa Carlisle was born August 16th, 1928 at the Davis Ranch in Texola, Texas to James Floyd and Faye Ethel Canady. She passed away at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma on September 5th, 2023 at the age of 95 years and 20 days.

Mary grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma where she attended school. After leaving school she helped raise her siblings and later began her family at a young age. She worked outside of the home finding employment at the Big Sky Restaurant and also in the cafeteria at Sayre Schools. Mary loved to attend craft shows and family reunions. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing domino's and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Faye Canady; husband, John Allen McDaniel; 1 daughter, Barbara Shelton; 1 step-son; Clifford McDaniel; 4 sisters, Judith Rose, Lola Helms, Evelyn Lorrine, and Ruby Faye Bynum; 3 brothers, George Herman, Dee Okey Nelson, and James O'Neal.

Mary is survived by her husband, Alvin Carlisle, of the home; 2 sons, Johnny Neal McDaniel and wife, Cheryl, Elk City, OK and Donald Lee McDaniel and wife, Betty, Muskogee, OK; 2 daughters, Patricia Maye Eldrickson, Elk City, OK and Wanda Sue Aldrich and husband, Roger, Woodward, OK; 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; fiance' of granddaughter Shelly, James Ward; 25 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Alice May Bynum and husband, Sammy, Haskell, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
