Marjorie Anne (Ball) Sullivan was born April 17, 1937 in Lewiston, Maine to James Norman Ball and Elenore Miriam Clark. She passed away at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma on October 18th, 2022 at the age of 85 years, 6 months and one day.

Marjorie grew up is Tucson, Arizona where she graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1955. She married John Earl Sullivan on November17, 1956. They had one son, Mark Clay Sullivan, who was born November 4, 1957 when John was stationed near Marietta, Georgia. The family moved back to Tucson when John finished his service in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Marjorie always worked from a young age, starting in retail, then as a telephone operator, and as a executive secretary. She was employed at Hughes (now Raytheon) when she retired from her working career. An avid quilter, Marjorie joined a Tucson quilting group that made quilts for charity after her retirement.

Marjorie was extremely proud of donating blood plasma for aphersis for years in Arizona and received a National Blood Institute Award for the many gallons she gave until her age prevented her further doing so.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Mark Clay in 1998, and infant great-granddaughter, Scout Hope Sullivan in 2020. The youngest of four sisters, Marjorie was also preceded in death by Jacqueline Martin of Smyrna, Georgia, and Joan Shillito and Barbara Meredith, both of Tucson, Arizona.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, John Sullivan of their home in Elk City, where they had moved to be closer to family in April of 2022, after spending the lifetime of their marriage in Tucson. She is also survived by her daughter in law, Belinda Carpenter Sullivan of Elk City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Frank Clay Sullivan, and wife Patsy of Elk City, Jesi Elise Robison and husband, Norman, of Beaver, Oklahoma, and Jon Mark Sullivan, and wife Jordan, of Elk City, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Daymon Carlisle and wife, Brittney, Taylor Anne, Kendrick Clay, Mark Henry, and due in February 2023, Frankie Jo Sullivan, Ian Edmund Ibrom, Sawyer Grace and Quincy Belle Sullivan; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Marjorie had requested in lieu of a memorial service or flowers that donations were made to the American Cancer Society.
