Marie Ellen Benton, 75, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1951, to Robert and Ruby Sidman.

Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She worked as an auditor for Levi Strauss and Company for 20 years before retiring from Amarillo Urology.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruby Sidman; her brother, Harry Sidman; her sisters, Patsy and Vicky; and her beloved grandson, Zachary Navarro.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Trego; her brother, Bobby Sidman; her daughters, Mindy Navarro and her husband, Mark, and Amanda Welty and her husband, Monty; her grandchildren, Blake Navarro and his wife, Seleste; Alizabeth Nevarez and her husband, Aaron; Zachary's fiancée, Sindy Hernandez; Tyler Welty; and Wyatt Welty; and many great-grandchildren.

Marie will be remembered for the love, laughter, and cherished memories she gave her family. Her daughters and grandchildren will carry that love in their hearts forever.

Mom, Grandma, and Sister, you were loved more than words can say. We will miss you every day and carry you with us always. Until we meet again, rest peacefully. We love you.
