Teresa Maria Luna (Garcia) was born on February 23rd, 1948 in Paducah, TX to Demetrio and Demetria Garcia. Maria passed away on July 11th, 2026 at the age of 78 in Modesto, California.

Maria, known to most as Mami, grew up in Paducah, TX where she attended school. Maria met Paul Luna and they married on December, 30th 1963. They resided most of their married life and raised their children in the Shamrock area where Maria was fortunate to get to stay at home and care for them. Growing up the children all have fond memories of their mom and her cooking, especially the large stack of homemade tortillas she would make every meal. In 2020 Paul and Maria moved to Elk City, OK where they lived until their passing. Maria loved being surrounded by her family and always wanted to be the first one to every get together. She was her happiest when she was with her kids and grandkids. She will be truly missed.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 sons, Robert Luna and Gilbert Luna, 3 sisters Guadalupe Salazar, Estella Martinez, Romona Ochoa and 1 brother Demetria James Garcia.

Mami is survived by 8 children, Paul Luna, Jr (Nicole), Sandy Cadenas (Baldo), Lewis Gutierrez (Lisa), James Luna (Maida) Lisa Luna (Lee), Robert Luna, Jessica Ramos (Hugo), Rosemary Luna (Rigo), 3 sisters Maria Bazan, Lucia Vasquez, Gloria Bautista, 24 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
