After their marriage they made their home in the Burns Flat community. In November, 1998 Luis began working for Joe D. Hall where he remained until present. During his career he worked on numerous projects all over Western Oklahoma. He was particularly proud of the construction of the Carousel and the High School in Elk City, the Courthouse in Cordell, and all the Hutch's stores in the area. Luis would place his autograph on a stud or rafter on every job he did. He might have hidden a sprite can here and there as well. Luis was also a member of the Edge Church in Clinton, Oklahoma. He thoroughly enjoyed attending sporting events that his children and grandchildren were participating in. He also enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles (in his younger years) , but his most favorite thing in the world was spending time with his children and grandchildren..
