Lois Lorene Vignal was born March 9, 1929 in Corn, Oklahoma to Willie Charolette (Steward) and Pete Eugene Jantzen. She passed away Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at her home near Hammon, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 29 days. Lorene grew up in Corn, Oklahoma and moved with her family to 9 Mile west of Hammon, Oklahoma. She attended school thru the 8th grade at 9 Mile and then began at Hammon where she graduated in 1947. After graduation she moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked for Southwestern Bell and rode the bus back and forth to see Wayne Vignal and they were later married on July 8, 1949 in Dallas, Texas at the Lee Crest Church of Christ by Fred Bandy. They made their home for a brief period in Witchita, Kansas and then later moved back to the family farm in the Hammon area. Lorene was a homemaker and farm wife milking the cows and caring for the children. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking, canning and gardening. Her Thanksgiving stuffing was one of a kind and can not be duplicated. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Lorene was a faithful member of the Hammon Church of Christ and taught many children Bible classes. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Marie Wright and all of her brothers and sisters. Lorene is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the home; one son, Gary Vignal and wife, Cindy, Sayre, OK; one son-in-law, Mike Wright, Minco, OK; 6 grandchildren, Jana McDaniel and husband, Michael, Tuttle, OK, Julie Davis and husband, Barry, Newcastle, OK, Jill Kirk and husband, Dustin, Minco, OK, Deidra Dacus and husband, Caleb, Edmond, OK, Cody Vignal, Sayre, OK and Chance Vignal, Sayre, OK; 11 great grandchildren, Lauren, Ella, Carlee, Carson, Jackson, Haley, Levi, Luke, Rachel, Crew and Willow and a host of other relatives and friends.
