Lonnie Ray Isch was born February 26th, 1933 west of Meadowbrook, Oklahoma to Nina Ione (Campbell) and Herman Leo Isch. He passed away Monday, November 21st, 2022 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 26 days.

Lonnie grew up in the Meadowbrook community and moved closer to Reydon where he attended school graduating in 1952. After graduation he attended Sayre Junior College before being drafted into the United States Army. He served in Europe as a radio operator during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he started his career with the Santa Fe Railroad. It was during this time he met Patricia Ann (Boling) and they were later married on February 21st, 1958 in Dumas, Texas. Together they lived in Dumas, Texas where they started their family. Following his career they moved to Butler, Oklahoma and then to Hereford, Texas. They moved back to the family farm near Reydon, Oklahoma. In 1968, The family bought Isch Feed and Seed and Lonnie put in a recreation center for the youth in the community to have a place to hang out. It was during this time that he also operated the grain elevator. In 1978, while he was checking wells, he was burned and spent the better part of 2 years recovering from his injuries. He returned to college where he finished his bachelors degree in education and continued on to obtain his masters degree in special education. While obtaining his masters he taught his first year of school at Hobart and the rest of his career was spent in Mangum, Oklahoma teaching special education. Through all of this, Lonnie battled MS and Crohn's disease but took pride in the fact that he never missed a day of work unless he was just physically unable. Lonnie was known to have a green thumb and grew a garden mostly out of necessity, but also out of generosity for his family and the community. He was also known for always keeping busy, his dry sense of humor, playing pranks and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Billie Ray Isch; his siblings, Billy, Ira, John, Jack, Joe and all of their spouses.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; 5 children, Bab Coker and husband, Husky, Reydon, OK, Roxann Clifton and husband, Larry, Sayre, OK, Tamie Smith, Bryan, TX, Jarrett Isch, Sayre, OK, and Amanda Benton and husband, Brady, Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, R.J. Coker and wife, Brandi, Tricia White and husband, Kevin, Dustin Coker and wife, Sara, Layton Smith, LaNell Vernon and husband, Jake, Jakeb Isch; 8 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Macy, Cord, Cambree, Jester, July, Jorja, and Jasper; 1 sister, June Tice Allen and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Comforting Hands Hospice, especially Haley, Sydney, and Alisha.
