Leon John Jordan was born January 6th, 1940 in Canute, Oklahoma to Clementine Anna (Spieker) and Noble John Jordan. He passed away at his home in Canute, Oklahoma on Sunday, July 16th, 2023 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Leon grew up on the family farm south of Canute, Oklahoma. He attended school at Canute and worked on the family farm as well as worked for other local farmers in the area. He enlisted in the United States Army in February of 1958 and served during peacetime until 1961. After his discharge he returned to western Oklahoma where he worked various jobs. He was married to Glenda Mae (McCarty) in Altus, Oklahoma on December 26th, 1974. Together they briefly lived in Altus before making their home in Canute, Oklahoma. Leon found employment with J&B trucking as well as various other companies as a truck driver hauling salt water to and from oil rigs. After an accident, he retired and became a full time caregiver to his wife during her final years. Leon also enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Jimmie "J.J." Jordan.

Leon is survived by a host of step children, brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help offset the cost of the funeral arrangements.
