Clara LaVerne Myers was born August 28th, 1939 in Waynoka, Oklahoma to Florance Roberta (Hayes) and James Eldred Ealey. She passed away in Cordell, Oklahoma on Monday, January 12th, 2026 at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 15 days.
LaVerne grew up in Waynoka, Oklahoma where she attended school. She graduated in 1957 and shortly after began her family with the birth of her 3 children, Kenneth Jr., Morris, and Meladie. LaVerne followed her husbands employment making a home for her family in Alaska, Texas, and eventually Oklahoma. She found employment with Northern Natural Gas in Canadian, Texas and was later transferred to Clinton, Oklahoma where it later became known as Enron. LaVerne continued there for the next 20 years until the company dissolved. She continued working in the public at Washita State Bank in Burns Flat, Oklahoma for a short period of time until she went to work for Rudy Ferrari at his convenience store until her retirement at the age of 80. In what little spare time she had, she could be found enjoying her sewing, gardening, working in her yard, watching her grandchildren in their sporting events, spending time with her family on trips to Lake Texoma, and caring for her dogs....Izzy, Libbie, Chubbs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Wayne Myers, Jr.; great grandson, Ryan "RJ" Hathaway Wolcott, Jr.; great great grandson, Atticus Aurelius Myers; 3 sisters, Opal Marie, Evelyn Maxine, and Elda Lou.
LaVerne is survived by her 2 children, Morris Myers and Meladie Myers, both of Burns Flat, OK; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Myers and wife, Brandi, Burns Flat, OK, Chad Myers, Burns Flat, OK, Brent Myers, Arapaho, OK, MaKynzee Wolcott and husband, Ryan, Elk City, OK, Jessyka Elswick and husband, Jesse, Dill City, OK, and Kirstyn Strain, Yukon, OK; great grandchildren, Alazay, Addison, Coda, Blake, Seth, Drevon, Syntrie, Jaylee, Wynston, Knox, Lynzee, Kellyn; great great grandchildren, Wrenley, Salem, Saige, and Attalyne Florance and a host of other relatives and friends.
