Ladonna Mae Aycox was born September 30th, 1951 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Leola Christine Lee. She passed away in her home at Elk City, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Ladonna grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma where she attended school. She met and was married to Danny Royce Aycox on June 2nd, 1966 in Garland, Texas. They made their home in Garland, Texas and when Danny enlisted in the U.S. Army, Ladonna remained in the home to care for their children. After Danny's discharge together they made their home in Ardmore and West Texas before following the oil field to western Oklahoma in the early 80's. They lived in Burns Flat before settling in Elk City in the early 90's. Ladonna held various roles throughout her life, but felt that her calling in life was being a mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed baking, crafting, making flower arrangements, and finding the perfect Christmas gift for each member of the family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Aycox; her mother, Christine Hill; step-father, Raymond Hill and great grandmother, Bertha E. Lee
Ladonna is survived by her 3 daughters, Belinda Edler and husband, Cecil, Elk City, OK, Emily Dixon and husband, Larry, Canute, OK, and Carol Hall and husband, Chris, Texarkana, AR; 4 grandchildren, Donielle Edler and wife, Jaclyn North, Roxanne Edler and husband, William Sands, Deanna Modesto, Jaque Dodge and husband, Chad; 5 great grandchildren, Aryan Sands, Warren Sands, Asher Dodge, Dani Grace Modesto, and Lincoln North; 2 sisters, Linda White and husband, Bill, and Lola Parker; 1 brother, Rodney Culberson and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org in Ladonna's name.
