Kerry Paul Beason was born on September 9, 1960 to Danne and Linda Beason in Snyder, TX. He passed on May 4, 2026 in Elk City, OK at the age of 65 years, 7 months, and 25 days.
Early in Kerry's life, he lived in many places in the Permian and Anadarko Basins because of his dad's career in the oilfield. In 1969, the family moved to Elk City, OK. He attended Merritt schools and graduated with the class of 1979. After high school, Kerry attended Oklahoma City Community College where he earned his Associates Degree. Kerry was a jack of all trades and wore many hats such as owning a dairy farm, realtor, mud engineer, oil field sales and safety, and trading. He was most proud of his training and work in Neuro Linguistic Programming as a Master NLP Practitioner and certified hypnotherapist that he rarely charged anyone for. Kerry was a generous soul. He worked for Halliburton as a sales director in the San Antonio Region before retiring in 2016. After retirement Kerry moved to Hammon, OK to help his parents.
Kerry was a member and past Master of the Elk City Masonic Lodge #182 A.F. & A.M. He served as a past District Deputy Grandmaster of District 18 of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma A.F. & A.M. Kerry was also a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Shrine. Kerry had many hobbies. He enjoyed golf, acrylic artwork, computers, and other technology.
Kerry is preceded in death by his father Danne Beason, maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Linda Beason of Hammon, OK; brother Richard Beason of League City, TX; two sisters Shelly Flick and husband Alan of Hammon, OK and Laura Miller and husband Kevin of Cheyenne, OK; nieces and nephews: Chancen Flick, Danielle (Kevin) Kemendo, Caleb (Whitney) Flick, Radley Beason, and Lane (Bailey) Hawkins.
"Uncle Kerry" is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews: Camren, Addison, Carson, Caura, Lizzie, Case and Cali; and many other friends and family.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday May 9, 2026 at the Whinery Funeral Service & Cremation Center Chapel in Elk City. Dr. K.B. Massingill will officiate. Interment is at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, OK. Services have been entrusted to Whinery Funeral Service & Cremation Center in Elk City.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, OK.
