Randy Kent Jackson was born on December 21st, 1955 to Carmen Doris (Reynolds) and Tom Max Jackson. He passed away Sunday, November 10th, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Randy, known by all as "Kent", grew up in Elk City and attended Merritt School graduating in 1974. After graduation he furthered his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received his bachelor degree in elementary education in 1978. He returned to the Merritt school district where he taught math and coached basketball. Kent spent his entire teaching career in education at Merritt touching and influencing many young men and women lives while shaping their future. He formally retired in 2009, but continued the other part of his working title as farmer. He ran cattle, raised wheat, and cared for his horses and dogs up until present. Kent also enjoyed going to church, raising his race horses, attending basketball games, and spending time with his niece, nephew, great nephews, other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Kent is survived by his sister, Dana Anderson and husband, Chris, Elk City, OK; niece, Kristie Duncan and husband, Brannan; nephew, Kyle Anderson; great nephews, Brayden Duncan, Kade Duncan, Logan Duncan, and Landon Duncan and a host of other relatives and friends.
