Justin "J.B." Benavidez was born November 2nd, 1987 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Sandy Ann (Benavidez) and Kelly Greg Mitchell. He passed away near Sayre, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at the age of 35 years, 7 months and 1 day.

J.B. grew up in Erick where he attended school. After his schooling he entered the oil field where he worked for Select Energy Services. He began as a floor hand and worked his way up to water transfer supervisor. J.B. rekindled a relationship with a childhood friend and his school crush. He and Amanda (James) were married on May 11th, 2019 in Erick, Oklahoma. After the downturn of the oil field he found employment with Love's as a tire technician and later was employed with R&R Powerline as a lineman. J.B. enjoyed fishing, taking kids fishing, riding his motorcycle, being in the outdoors and camping with his family, cooking out and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Raul Benavidez, Sr.; first cousin, Michael Mitchell.

He is survived by wife, Amanda, of the home; 3 children, Garrett Blake and Cameron George, Weatherford, OK and Kiyra "Little Princess" George, Elk City, OK; his mother, Sandy Low, Elk City, OK; grandmother, Betty "Mamo" Benavidez, Elk City, OK; 2 brothers, Chris Low, and his 4 children Elk City, OK, and Garrett Low, and 2 children, California; 1 sisters Mary Low and wife, Marie, and their 4 children Elk City, OK; 2 aunts, Donna Spears and husband, Jeff, and their 8 children, Eufaula, OK, and Melinda McConnell and husband, Tommy and their 6 children, Jones, OK; 2 uncles, Raul Benavidez, Jr. and his 6 children, Elk City, OK and Aren Benavidez and wife, Abbie and their 4 children, Weatherford, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Fellowship officiated by Eric Easter. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West Sayre. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
