Joyce Latrisha (Shotwell) Trammell, the second of four children, born to Lena Sue (Word) and Eli Shotwell, Jr. Joyce was born September 25, 1940 in Elk City, OK and was raised on the farm north of Cheyenne, OK. She attended Cheyenne schools and graduated Cheyenne High School in 1958. Joyce attended Banking School and worked in the banking industry for several years in Oklahoma City. When she returned to Cheyenne, she worked for Dobson Telephone Company. Joyce always kept the family business records and was a hard worker known for her dedication and efficiency. When not working, Joyce loved to dance and travel.

Joyce married Billy Floyd Trammell May 15, 1958 in Sayre, OK and they were married for 51 years. To this union, they were blessed with two sons: Billy Floyd, Jr. and Michael Ray. They lived in Oklahoma City for several years before moving back to Cheyenne in 1973 In 1976, they owned, operated, and serviced Trammell Service Company.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Billy Floyd, parents Eli and Sue Shotwell, parents-in-law R.L Trammell and Lorene Trammell Web, sister Shirley, brothers-in-law Bob Trammell, Charles Walker, John Patterson, Bill Jones, and Bob Ritemore, sisters-in-law Sue Jones and Margie Ritemore, nephews Rocky Gene Walker, Shane Shotwell, and Ricky Don Shotwell, and niece Geri Renae Walker Deason.

She is survived by her son Mike of Cheyenne, OK; granddaughters Ashley Trammell of Cheyenne and Lindsey (Tony) Spencer of El Reno, OK; great grandchildren Gauge Trammell, Peyton Smith, Preston Warren, and Gabriel Trammell; sister Linda (Darrell) Gunsaulis of Fairview, OK; sister-in-law Fern Trammell of Cheyenne, OK; and a host other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
