Billie Joy Shockley was born April 17th, 1953 in Stockton, California to Gracie Ruth (Frank) and Roy Earl Crumm. She passed away at Cordell, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 5 days.

Billie, known by most as "Joy", "Mom", and "Grandma", moved with her family at a young age to western Oklahoma. The family settled in Duncan, Oklahoma where she attended school graduating in 1971. After graduation she began her family with the birth of her children, Angel and Tammy. Her family moved around following her husband in the military. She later married Charles Shockley on May 1, 1980 and she added 3 more children to her family, Cheryl, Charlotte, and Frank. Together they settled in Dill City, Oklahoma where they raised their family. Joy always provided for her family through working. She along with Charles drove a truck as part of a team for a number of years before she entered the restaurant industry as a waitress, cook, and manager. Joy worked her whole life and was not a stranger to hard work. In what little spare time she had, Joy could be found taking care of her family and spending time with them. Her door was always open to help anyone, and especially her grandchildren, with anything they needed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cheryl Flores; and one sister, Pamela Campbell.

Joy is survived by her husband, Charles, Stigler, OK; 4 children, Angel Whitson, Eufaula, OK, Tammy Maxey and husband, Jason, Dill City, OK, Charlotte Morrison and husband, Cary, Russellville, AR, and Frank Shockley and wife, Tara, Elk City, OK; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robbie Crumm and wife, Shirley and Thomas "T.J." Parsley and wife, Shannon and a host of other relatives and friends.
