Johnny Calvin Kincaid was born April 26th, 1949 in Clinton, OKlahoma to Christine (Allison) Kincaid and Dick Kincaid. He passed away at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 12 days.
Johnny grew up in the Canute community where he graduated from high school in 1967. After graduation, Johnny worked at the Standard and Mobile Oil gas stations and also was a participant in RCA rodeo's in the bulldogging events. It was also during this time that he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College. While in college he met Janis Lynne (Bergman) and they were later married on August 7th, 1976 in Seiling, Oklahoma. Johnny and Janis remained in Weatherford, Oklahoma for a year before returning to Canute where Johnny purchased a tire shop and renamed it Big John's Tire Shop. He continued with the tire shop and transitioned into the insurance industry where he worked for Oklahoma Farm Bureau. Johnny continued working for Oklahoma Farm Bureau for the following 42 years selling insurance. For the last 3 years he's officed out of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Johnny loved to hunt, fish, ride his trike, play softball, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He was also the ER of the Elks Lodge #2343.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Meredith Kincaid.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Janis, of the home; 3 children, Erin Knutson and husband, Mike, Mustang, OK, Paige Meek and husband, Ryan, Oklahoma City, OK, and Tyler Kincaid and wife, Amber, Edmond, OK; 2 grandchildren, Alex and Christopher Knutson; 1 granddaughter on the way, Gracyn Kincaid and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 10th, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Elk City United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
