John Gerald Cooper Jr. was born June 9, 1970 in Clinton, OK to John Gerald Cooper Sr. and Joann (Jones) Dixon. He passed on June 28, 2024 at his home in Elk City at the age of 54 years and 19 days.

John grew up in Elk City and attended Elk City Schools. After school, John started his career in concrete and construction. He worked in the industry for over twenty five years. He owned and operated Cooper Concrete Construction. John married Paulla Brinkley on May 11, 1989 in Elk City, OK and to this union two daughters were born Alisha and Miranda. John was a family man and spent as much time as he could with his kids and grandchildren. John liked to stay busy and was always fixing something.

John is preceded in death by his parents John Cooper and Joann Dixon and sister Tammy Schortemeier.

He is survived by his wife of the home Paulla Cooper; two daughters Alisha Cumbee and husband Randy of Odessa, TX and Miranda Rascon and husband Rikki of Elk City, OK; ten grandchildren Danielle, Kayleigh, Kennady, Zakariah, Avalyn, Ryland, Axel, Camren, Braddex, and Elijah; brother Sherman Cooper of Texas; sister Kimberly Louis of Elk City, OK; best friend Jody Hobbs of Elk City; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
