John Robert Duerr was born on July 29th, 1968 in Elk City, OK to Theodore "Pete" and Marie (Adams) Duerr. He passed on July 30, 2024 in Edmond, OK at the age of 56 years and 1 day.

John grew up in Canute, OK where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1987. After school, John worked various jobs, but he enjoyed and focused on farming. John was an avid fan of John Deere tractors. He liked the outdoors whether it be farming, hunting, or fishing. Although John never married he found joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews and other family members. John was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He previously served as a volunteer fireman for the town of Canute.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Marie Duerr, sister Ann Jackson, two infant brothers Anthony and Paul Duerr, and an infant sister.

He is survived by his brothers Ted Duerr and wife Cheryl of Elk City, Larry Duerr and wife Charlene of Woodward, OK, Joe Duerr and wife Jeri of Edmond, OK, Mike Duerr and wife Chloe of Clinton, OK, James Duerr and wife Lauren of Wichita, KS, Tommy Duerr and wife Ursula of Foss, OK, and Danny Duerr and wife Princess of Archer City, TX; sister Mary Dorsey of Burbank, CA; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
