Jody Archer was born October 8, 1975 in Elk City Oklahoma to Verna Lou and Johnny Rice Archer. He passed away November 19, 2025 at the age of 50 in his home in Sayre Oklahoma.

Jody enjoyed spending his time outdoors with his brothers and children, most especially his days at the river. He was a man of many talents, he worked as a lineman, spent time in the oilfield, drove a truck, built fences among many other trades.

He is proceeded in death by his brother Justin Archer, nephew Willie Levi Archer, maternal grandparents, Jo Roush, Lonnie bachelor and wife Linda, and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Doris Archer.

He has survived by his children, Michael Vidaurri, Jody Archer Jr., Austin Archer, Shelby Robinson, Daniel Archer, Cameron Hamel, and Jacob Archer along with their spouses and his 12 grandchildren, his parents, Verna Lou Barnes and husband James, Johnny Archer and wife Diane, his brothers, Franky Archer and Elijah Barnes and sister Tara Jean Barnes Along with many other family and friends.
